Taylin Lehman Markey

In November of 2025, Taylin’s husband, Ben Markey tragically died. Ben was Taylin’s best friend, support person and life partner. Ben was a military veteran who ultimately lost his battle with his mental health. Taylin is heartbroken and she must navigate finding a new home, caring for her pets, paying for the funeral and many other expenses. Unfortunately, Ben did not have life insurance and Taylin is attempting to manage high financial stress on her one income. Taylin, a former LDFH player and her mother, Tina have been active volunteers for Lend a Hand for a decade. Now, LAH can support Taylin and her family in their time of need.

Lindsay Mancine

In July of 2025, Dan died from a massive heart attack leaving behind his beloved wife of 21 years, Lindsay Mancine and their seven children. Dan was hardworking, driven and fiercely loyal. He was adored by his family and his patients. He is deeply missed by Lindsay and his children. The children are members of the LD school district community and include graduate Giovanna (Gigi - 20); senior high students Francesca (Frankie - 18) and Luciano (Louie - 16); middle schoolers Graziella (13) and Madonna (12); and East Hanover attendees Antonina (Nina-10) and Gelsomina (Bean-7). All of the children were very close to their father. Dan loved to take the family to concerts and on road trips. Lindsay is a massage therapist and prior to Dan’s death they were remodeling their house. Lend a Hand will help finance the home remodeling to create a work studio for Lindsay. LAH will also assist with everyday expenses the family faces without Dan’s income.

David and Kimberly Pegher’s family

The Pegher’s have two very accomplished children, Jacob and Mia. Jacob graduated from Lower Dauphin in 2021 and Mia is a current senior at LD. Mia has been accepted into a six-year doctoral program at Lebanon Valley College. Seven years ago, father David Pegher suffered a fatal heart attack at a chaperone meeting for Mia’s Camp Hebron trip. Recently, mother Kimberly Pegher was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, despite never being a smoker or living with a smoker. Kimberly was treated for a severe blood infection in October of 2025 which caused her to miss work for two months from her teaching job at the Hershey Middle School. The family has been very careful with their money and they are under financial stress. LAH’s financial help will assist Kimberly’s medical costs and anticipated expenses of the children.

Kolbe Straw’s Family: Kolbe Straw

A 2013 Lower Dauphin Graduate, was killed in a Go-cart accident in June of 2025. Kolbe was a steward of nature as a consulting forester and a millwright for Union 443. He left behind his beloved wife Paige Straw and his daughters eleven-year-old Izzy and his unborn daughter Kolbi, who Paige was pregnant with at the time of Kolbe’s death. Kolbi is now 5 months old. Paige is on maternity leave from her work at the West Branch Endodontics. Paige’s grandfather who would have been the children’s babysitter died later in 2025. Since Paige is a single mother, Lend a Hand funds will be very helpful to provide assistance for health insurance and living expenses.Your donation can make a huge difference in our ability to support Lend-a-hand's mission. Haily and Steve Radnor family

The Radnor family has had significant challenges over the last year. Haily Radnor works at Lower Dauphin as a paraeducator. Haily and Steve have five children (ages seven to twenty-one) and four of the children are currently students in the Lower Dauphin school district. Son, Austin Radnor graduated in 2023 and he works at Lower Dauphin. In December of 2025, Austin was in a motor vehicle accident in which Austin’s truck was totaled when he was hit by a semi. In addition, fourteen-year-old daughter, Cheyenne was diagnosed with autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Cheyenne was hospitalized for treatment of her condition and Cheyenne continues to receive care in a program at the hospital. The costs of Haily missing work for her child’s care; the travel to and from Cheyenne’s program; and the expense of the program itself have drained the family’s finances. Both Haily and Steve work multiple jobs to try and meet the needs of a family of seven. The money from Lend a Hand will help them with their mounting bills.

Chad Oswald’s family

In the spring of 2025, Chad Oswald, father of LDFH player Macy Oswald, was diagnosed with laryngeal cancer affecting his vocal cords. Chad was initially treated with radiation but the doctors found that the cancer was radiation resistant. In February of 2026, Chad had his left vocal cord removed and he required tracheal intubation and a feeding tube during his eight-day ICU stay. Chad has a long recovery ahead of him. Lend a Hand will assist the Oswald family in paying medical bills since Chad’s illness resulted in lost wages. The Oswald family is very grateful for Lend a Hand’s assistance during these trying times.
